Vincent Nigita, dynamic French Pastry Chef based in Bali, and Léon teamed up to develop branding, design and architecture to help establish Nigita’s name and his signature store as the premier spot for the freshest and “Frenchiest” delicacies. At the cross-roads of tradition and modernism, the challenge for Léon was to reveal Chef Vincent’s extravagance, passion, techniques and quality pastries in offbeat ways. Roused by the highly artistic millennial Chef, Léon decided to highlight his unique personality. Vincent Nigita himself becomes the key figure of the brand, and his name the trademark. Playing with the codes of fashion, the brand uses simple yet modern designs with a cheerful twist. Classic black bold typography on a white background introduces luscious pastries in close-ups or mugshots of mischievous cooks; funny packaging is thought of as glamourous jewel cases in vibrant tones.

Far from the common pastry shop, the deliciously quirky two-storey building was conceived to amplify experience. The pastry shop opens up on a haptic structure of concrete and glass showcasing tasty treats and colorful chocolate bars; on the opposite side, the in-store fine groceries retail stands out with copper walls and shelves. Both spaces combine new dimensions in furniture design and commercial construction to indulge all senses. Throughout the ground floor is an ever-changing array of exclusive products following the Chef’s new inspirations and collections.

 
 
 

NIGITA dessert bar

On the top floor, the Dessert Bar invites visitors to dive further into the world of pastries. Behind the counter, a secret backdoor takes the customers to a sensory journey up a dark staircase with star-shaped spotlights, and lead them to a one-of-a-kind bar. With a unique concept of “after dark desserts menu and cocktails”, Chef Vincent cooks, in front of his guests, an exclusive dessert-only course menu. Just bring your curiosity, the chef will look after the fun, pastries and cocktails!
